Yup!
Thats not a brainless, thats the new one with GPS based unlock procedure I think. The GPS tracker is connected to the control board, can you confirm this?
This one is unlocked through Bluetooth, and contains in the box at the bottom of the scooter a simple GPS tracker device.
I was just wondering if they put another GPS elsewhere.
So it's not connected to the controlboard? Does the tracker look like this?

Okay, I thought they did something like Tier does and connects the tracker with the control board, now it's just more visible that a dedicated GPS tracker exist.

So there is no other means of tracking them?

No, the trackers purpose is to give the app and the staff a location of a scooter. And they can set a geofence so they get a notification if the scooter goes outside of the geofence. And even if the battery of the scooter dies, it can provide them with information for two days. Pretty neat stuff.

You have to solder cables because it's no standard connector.
So solder a cable to the control boards connectors?
Yes!

Just solder cables on the controller board and connect to the jtag.

Some neat info around here, good work!!

Just to make something clear: the “old” aka brainless aka no-front-box voi has the tracker on the underside? No other tracker elsewhere? Meaning, if i were able to physically detach it and dump it in the bin, the scooter would be pretty much untracable?
