I have a weird problem. I have a Voi Scooter, i replaced the circuit board and can connect to the scooter via the app. But I can't unlock the scooter or change the serial number. I can only change some light settings and I can't change modes. Do I need a control board replacement aswell? When I'm trying to change serial number it says that serial number is not the original one, so I can't change. But when I look underneath the scooter it's the same serial number as it shows in the app?

How it looks like when I'm trying to change serial number

How it looks like, it says that it's in lock mode. Any ideas how to get it out of it?

I’m having the same problem... in locked mode and unable to get it off.

Couldn’t find any unlock procedure online. Anyone?

Thanks!
Hi

I have the exact same problem. I am connected via Bluetooth after changing the eS4 control board but the scooter is locked. Do I need to change the motherboard?

anyone here could successfully convert the Bird/Lime Segway Ninebot without the *BOX TOP* ??

Because I'm trying to convert one for me here in my country, the first scooter company just arrived and what I can tell so far from them it's that they are from Segway (Probably ES2/ES4 idk the difference between them), they DO NOT HAVE A BOX TOP. (here are some photos). https://imgur.com/a/C44mmsq

So in this models without the box top I've no idea where are the GPS and SIM card that communicates with the service provider.

Yeah, If its the same as the BIRD topless box versions here in Cali, you just need a new top dashboard and it will work. (Just dont connect it to the segway app, otherwise youll have a limited speed of 9mph) But its an easy job takes about 30 mins.

A thought. Since the company is able to unlock the unit remotely..wouldn't there be a way to do this locally or emulate the unlocking part via a 3rd party app?
Yeah, but I think a hard reset would do the thing to get out of the locked state, because you can change all the other settings, just not the locked state. A security feature made by Ninebot, and Voi took advantage of it. Now we just need to figure out how you hard reset the control board.

That would be even better yeah, agreed.
