Yep, I sure did. Multiple times. Still didn't work.
Given up and just ripped everything out to use an aftermarket controller.

When I joined this forum I came to learn, of course, (and I have learned A LOT from the members here. Thank you)
but I also came to share what I know and give back. I wasnt born knowing...well....really much of anything at all. None of us were. We have to learn form others and train our minds to eventually be able to teach OURSELVES through curiosity and trial & error. And most people just need a little direction and confidence boost to get started. I remember when I saw my first lowrider car cruising down the boulevard. I was beyond inspired and so curious about how it worked. It was the coolest thing I had ever seen. I needed to know how to make one of my own. Thank you Dave and Gilbert for showing me the ropes and believing in me. Shit, that was 17 years and 10 builds ago. Time flies.

Because were dealing with scooters, I figured there might be some younger dudes on here or guys that dont get their hands dirty too often. And I want to inspire these people in particular because I feel like this country (especially Los Angeles) is getting too soft and dudes aint building shit and fixing shit like they used to. There is a national shortage of automotive technicians, plumbers, electricians, carpenters, welders..etc...Im not hating on white collar guys or designers or bankers or salesmen or nothin like that, but if guys dont get the fuck out there and build shit, there aint gonna be nothing to sell or design or finance. More dudes need to learn how shit fuckin works and be able to fix it and build it and take pride in what they do. Our fucking country is getting soft, man. A lot of dudes cant even mount a spare tire or install a light switch. Thats insane to me. I thought maybe joining a fucking scooter forum would give me an avenue to inspire some youngsters or get some website designer off the computer and into the garage for a few. People come here to try to have a cheap scooter. I want them to leave having a dope, custom, super fast scooter they built themselves. Thats why I take the time to post. It aint about ego, its about the appreciation of dirty hands and the confidence to take on any job in front of you.
Anyways blah blah blah thats my 2 cents. Shit sounds like a Home Depot commercial or some Donald Trump inaugural speech. But, fuck man, I mean it. Im just trying to say I tried, ya know? SO....Heres something even better than my ranting and unsolicited opinions about the American workforce....a sneak peek at my latest scooter build! Its still in its infant stages but you better believe its gonna be BADASS when Im through with it. And yes its an m365 deck and yes thats an air tank sitting next to it, and yes those are 2 1000 watt controllers underneath it. Thats all I have to say about it for now. Ill post in the appropriate category once i make some progress.

hi, first i want say thank you for amazing tutorial you writed. But i have a few questions: Did you used stock controller? If yes, how you get rid of annoying beeps (error 2 1 Communication error with the BMS), and how to make rear led light working?

Before i started modify battery, i tested my m365 with 48v 20ah battery from my electric bike and flashed custom firmware to my m365 and it was like a beast! Only problem is error 2 1 beeps. Then i decided leave original battery and BMS intact, created 3p4s like you mentioned in your tutorial, but when i connected it in series to my stock m365 battery i got 1 8 error immidiately even scooter was turned off. Constant beeps and norhing works. Then i disconected bms conector from controller and it started to work. Same speed like with mine bike battery, but under high load or small uphills get motor power cut offs and finally even totally battery power cut off. I believe its stock battery BMS issue. Now im thinking about remove BMS from battery, thats what you mean you did, right? But how to get rid error 2 1 issue? Thank you.

I dont use the BMS on my batteries. It interferes with the scooters function as , I believe, you are experiencing. If you still want to use it, you can just cut the wires and splice a connector on there and plug it in only when charging. Then youll retain some of its benefits. I personally dont use it at all. Its just a headache. If my battery dies a little premature, I have more batteries. But thats just me.
And as for the annoying beeping....im glad you asked! I have a very high tech scientific method to making the beeping stop.
Break the speaker. But not completely....Listen....Its on the bluetooth board. I took mine and squeezed it with a needle nose pliers. It changes its tune when you distort it. I managed to crush my speaker just right so it emits a very low volume, almost inaudible beep. That way I can still listen carefully if I need to interpret what the scooter is trying to tell me, but the noise cannot be heard when Im riding and the wind is in my face. Just pull out the bluetooth board and youll see the speaker. Pinch it with a pair of pliers and youll see what I mean. I have no way of getting rid of the error code, but it doesnt seem to effect performance other than the beeping sound.

I can confirm, just throwed out all BMS and it works amazing! Stock motor and wheel, stock controller, two batteries 14s3p and 14s2p combinated in parallel. Total 52V (58.8V when fully charged) 16.6Ah   596.8Wh. Top speed around 38km/h (24mph). I'll measure top speed later again with fully charged battery, and battery range aswell and report here back.
Another thing, constant motor power i flashed to 32000. A question is can i go more further, like 25787 (CFW 2.0)? Before (with all stock) this setting, when i used breakes hard, caused BMS power cut off, and required BMS restart to return my scooter back to life.
Now probably even 32000 is too much, or no?

Nah. Juice that shit up, man! I flashed mine to the CFW-W spec. Its like 25500 or 27500 or something around there. It works great and will bump your top speed up significantly. And if you want even better top speed and acceleration I use a stock m365 motor with a 10" tire conversion for the front and a zero motor for the back. That combo has yielded the best results for me. Approx 31 mph which is more than enough to have fun and feel the thrill of eminent death without actually dying. Use the Russian throttle algorithm and set KERS to 70 so it never turns on. The shit will throw you off the scooter.
This combination of custom tweaks is what I personally use and I think it offers the best performance.
Ive been using it for a while and had no issues other than typical m365 bullshit.
I have gone as high as 63 volts and ran CFW spec 1000 watt power constant and I had nothing but problems. It will work for a little while but things degrade quickly. Blown controllers, tires being slung off of motors, jerky deceleration, random surges of super high speed.... i ate shit 3 times at high speeds. Banged up but nothin too bad. Fucking scooters. And you cant tell you homies you got those cuts from falling off your bird scooter. They will eat you alive. Open season man. Its worse than a moped. Whats that old joke?......What does a fat bitch and a moped have in common?? Both fun to ride but you dont want your friends to know youre doing it. hahahaa . I should start a thread about how to look cool, or roll hard on a scooter. I feel like when i ride i got a little bit of swag and i try to float down the street and get my scooter gangsta lean on. But I probably look like an idiot. Shit, Its like drinking through a straw....no one can look tough while doing it. And as a guy with a couple custom lowriders, i enjoy cruising around and feeling like a badass. Impressing chicks and intimidating busters on the boulevard. Its a cool feeling. But im pretty sure i aint impressing no chicks or intimidating no one on my scooter. Lucky for me, im know im down and ill hop off that scooter a kick a mark ass punks happy ass if i feel the need and i aint got no love for these ho's nowadays anyway. Its safe to say I love my scooter like I love no bitch. So ftw.

I do not recommend going higher than 55 volts or so. at least not with a stock controller/ its not gonna work too well. at least it didnt for me and I think ive gotten pretty good with these things. So be careful. these things were not designed for this kind of speed. but its fun as fuck, right?
