Hi everyone!
Greetings from MVD, Uruguay!
So today was the first day of the new service of scooters in my city, and the government it's going to ban them so I'm preparing to Hack/Convert one for me.
What I can tell so far from them it's that they are from Segway (Probably ES2/ES4 idk the difference between them), they DO NOT HAVE A BOX TOP and they require Bluetooth to use them. (Next I'll attach some photos to give context). https://imgur.com/a/C44mmsq

So i was wondering.. where's the GPS and SIM card that communicates with the service provider? On the handlebar tube?
Also I've a few more questions to get me started. Sorry I'm a newbie :(
The process should be the same as in the first post of this forum?
I need to buy the same parts of that post?
In the case of me doing everything properly and get the scooter functioning I'll be able to connect it to the Segeway app?

Thank you all, and sorry again, I'm just getting started on this!
i also want to know,VOI company also, require bluethoot for use.
We canot see battery level info.
As far i remenber they dont say gps tracked.
If it have sim card where is?
Also have trackers on downside?
I try to go find one in app ,seems alone, and arrived to local there is no scooter at all....even on app says there is,any help?
ty
Brainless VOI uses a little GPS with SIM tracker underneath that is not connects to the control board, (that iswhy you don't get any bat info or can ask to beeep/ring like on lime), it doesn't update on the normal app but staff knows where it is using different app/platform if they need to recover it.
They use bluetooth and the app to unlock the scooter in some way, if anyone knows please share because the big problem is that the scooter keeps its locked state even after battery unplug and dashboard changed.

Lol !!
Its a scooter... Perhaps have a look at it ??
There is crap little room to hide something like that. If it even exisits... !

A tracking feature can only be an abundantly obvious add-on module.
Or its embedded in scooters circuitboards what also serve to drive the thing.
Good luck ”ripping it out”. LoL !!

remove the rubber cover and you will see that the cables are connected to the existing ones, and through the hole of the shock absorber you will see the piece of the locator

Hey guys,
I removed the Lime-S, GPS module. (I've got the green cable loose on the exterior of the scooter).
Than I've bought a new Segway Dashboard, from Ebay.
I've installed the dash. Everything fine until here.
But when I start the app, connect to the scooter (via Bluetooth) and start to "ride it", the app says:
"The Scooter is lock mode".
In consequence, the scooter is always beeping, the wheel locks a bit and does not accelarate.
I've tried to do Firmware update, but it says that it already has got the last version, so it doesn't update.
Also the app shows a closed padlock.
Do you guys have any idea of what can I do?
Best regards,
André Carvalho

The Lime is not segway 1,2,3 nor 4.
its special custom made unit for lime, manufactured by Dong Guan Honglin Industrial Co,its GEN. 2.5.
Thats why you are facing this.

Lime used to employ the Segway ES2 with external batteries. Most have been taken off the streets by now though.
