For those of you who purchased a Bird Xiaomi M365 from Seibert's Towing here is how to get it to work. Since none of the shared scooter companies are still using the M365s in their fleets we don't have to worry about someone using this info to steal scooters. Right @edmund?
The Story of These Scooters
A story will go here...
Why Are They so Easy to Hack
In a rush to be the first to market Bird, Lyft, Spin, and many other scooter operators purchased consumer grade scooters. Here is a review of the Xiaomi M365, the first shared scooter. To get them on their system they took the brain out of and replaced it with their box. They did not change any firmware on the scooter and the only other thing they did was slap a sticker on the neck.
How to Get These Scooters Working
To get your scooter working you'll need to take off the Bird brain and replace it with the original dashboard. That's it, you're done!
What to Buy
The original M365 dash boards are available on eBay, Amazon, and other places online. You'll also want to pick up a charger.

https://www.amazon.com/EVECS-Bird-Scoot ... uage=en_US
What About these Fancy Dashboards with Numbers?
This is the dash for the M365 Pro. It's basically the same scooter as the original Xiaomi M365 except the dash displays your speed. Users on the forum have been able to get these to work but I haven't tried. Can anyone chime in on how this works?
eBay - Xiaomi M365 PRO Scooter Dashboard With Screen Cover Circuit Blue-tooth Board US

What Tools do I Need?
The shared scooters are equipped with security screws to keep people out. Grabbing a tool set like the one below will do the trick. You'll also need a razor blade to take off the black rectangle sticker on top of the Bird brain to access the screws to remove it.

What to Watch Out For?
Clone dashboards are a real problem and you'll most likely get one. Xiaomi just doesn't make enough OEM boards to go around. I'll track down the thread that went over this and post a link. Most of the clone boards do work and can be flashed.
Note - I'll update the post more when I have some time.
