Lime Harvest Price per Scooter Fluctuation

Lime launched about a month ago. Prices were $6 each for about four weeks. Tonight they all went down to $4 each and it appears there are many more scooters in the area. At $4 each its not worth the time, wear on vehicle, loss of sleep and physical labor for me. Has any one any insight these price changes or as Lime calls it "Our prices are dynamic and change according to market conditions."?

Do you believe juicers just not charging could lead to a dynamic situation to bring the price back up to a fair wage?
I wont charge at $4 each.

Any input or shared experience with this is appreciated.

THANK YOU

Bird changed their min price to $3 awhile ago in several areas. People still go pick them up. Guess it’s worth someone’s time.

It’s unlikely Lime will increase the minimum after they lowered it. Are their at least more scooters to capture?

There is always somebody willing to do low skill work for less pay than the other guy.

At which point is the price to low and not worth anyone's time?

After doing the basic profit and loss math, at $4 per scooter its not worth the time/resources and is no longer profitable for me to continue at that rate. At $6 it was tolerable 2-3 nights a week and allowed for a small profit. Four dollars per is pretty much the total amount invested to get the job done, aka 'break even point.' That is just my math based on my situation, resources and geographic location. I would be interested in learning about the ways people truly do make it profitable at $3-$4 per scooter. For me it would be foolish to continue at $4 since I have run the numbers. After taxes its closer to $2.50-$3 each before expenses for me.

$4 per scooter wont cover the doctor bill for the impending back injury from these things.

Best Wishes

As route density increases, charger payouts decrease. It's in their model I believe

The more charger they add to the workforce the lower the payout when harvesting lime scooters.

They need to put a cap on how many chargers they add. They also need to keep the payout at least between $5-$6 per scooter.

The lime company doesn't realize without us chargers doing what we do. They wouldn't have alot a charged scooters in the morning. If they really depend on the employees to do what we do. They wouldn't have any scooters ready for the morning.
