Store the power! Electric scooter battery and charging discussions go here.

Hi everyone,

I'm new here, and I'm hoping that someone can help me sort out why my scooter (A 'Daymak Arrow') is suddenly overcharging. :? I'd pay to get it checked out, but I'm over 100Km from the nearest scooter shop.

My problem is the speedometer reads much higher than the actual speed I am going and I've noticed the voltage has gone up into the low 80's, even while at a stop. It's a 74 volt scooter so that worries me, I don't want to hurt the controller, or expensive batteries. The braking system is regenerative. The rear brakes are an EABS (electric absorption braking system).

My rear brake is getting sluggish, and I'm wondering if it could be binding, and making the controller think that I'm always braking...?

Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated!
