Does anyone have experience with this scooter? Is it possible to convert them?

Yeah, they are convertable. I spent some time on this scooter, as when you remove the "brain" you can replace it with an LCD via the 5-pin connector. I hoped it would be that easy, but when doing that I managed to turn the scooter on and the lights worked when I used the brake, but the throttle didn't work :p sucks, because that conversion only took five minutes..

I did install a new controller by using the existing plugs, and the scooter started and the throttle worked. Didn't ride it or anything, just tested out of curiosity.

Hi,

So the battery is not locked to the controller? If I put a different controller in it it should work?

Are the "brains" only on the top of the scooter at the handlebars or is there a other module for gps/comms in the scooter?

Best regards

Yeah, the only brain/GPS is a small piece connected with a 5 pin connector on the handlebar. So what I did is change the controller. But I did actually connect a different battery to it. Not because the one that comes with the bolt didn't work, but I just didn't have the plug, so instead I used the plug from another battery I had laying around. So, I can't really 100% confirm that the battery will cooperate with a new controller, but I assume it will.

But how do you open the dashboard part?
It's all riveted ...

The Battery works fine :) And it's easy to change everything.
Only four Torx Srews on the Bottom and you have access to the Controller, Backupbattery and Main Battery.

No the Dashboard has no rivets they are square Security Bit screws.

I used force opening that cover. Get a screwdriver or something and try to pop the cover close to the 2 bolts

Mine were secured with square screws. I had to use a security bit.

Is it possible that the bms on the battery is locked? when I measure output on + / - I get 0 volt.
The original controller is impossible to "Reverse engineer" it is filled with a silicon gel and to get the board out you have to be superman.

You can charge the original battery with a Xiaomi m365 charger.

Yeah, the controller is a mess.. But as I mentioned earlier, I did manage to get the wheel running by changing the controller, so the battery is definitely not 100% stopping that process. It might shut down while riding because of settings, but you should be able to get power out of it.
