Hello everyone. There are Apps available to hack the ES2/ES4 to change top speed, cruise control timing, regenerative braking, KERS/motor constant, etc. Some of these changes put the unit at higher risk of failure.

Is there any App or other method of interrogating the KickScooter to reveal whether it contains a version of the the official factory firmware, or instead contains a hacked version of the firmware?

Yes and no you can tell usually by riding it and seeing if it goes faster than it is supposed to. You can also see what current firmware is being run by downloading nine dash app it is the best app hands down and tells you everything and more but you can’t tell anything beyond those that I listed sorry
