Does anyone know how to charge the Segway internal battery without using the speed controller, I have a female charger plug hooked up to it and when I attempt to charge it, the charger changes from red and green over and over.

it’s the stupid ninebot bms. either replace it or bypass it

The BMS disconnects the battery pack from the terminals when the voltage is too low. Just charge a while with the ESC, then it will charge when you connect the charger to the battery terminals. Bypassing the mosfet is a risky attempt and you must know what you are doing. Having 3 volt instead of 36 volts does not mean the battery is defective, I succeeded in waking it up.
