Converting Bird Es4 to PE

I have a bird es4 (the one with the external battery pack) that I recently acquired and I installed a color tree control board from amazon but it won’t work. The brake lights just flash, and when I try to connect to the app, the app sees the scooter but won’t let me connect. Anyone know how I can fix this?

JCG,
I can’t connect to the Bluetooth via the ninebot windows all. It states connecting and then the scooter restarts. Do I have to STLink?

I’m facing a similar problem. I was able to get mine to work and rode it for about ten minutes. Then the exact situation described above got me.

Same issue. Somebody out there knows how to get around this but they won't share their details.
