Hi all.
First post, so please be gentle.
My daughter decided to get on her ninebot max with a friend and go up a hill. Even though they're both less than 50kg each, the thing conked out.
No lights from the display, and the drive wheel... Not 'stuck' per se, but has some resistance to it in a regular pattern.
Opened it up as a shop guy was pretty sure it was the controller in order to replace it with one I got off eBay.
When starting to remove the plugs, I noticed some black
shiny blobs on the connectors which I assumed to be like a security/neatness thing, but then realised it was actually melted plastic from the connectors!
So where do we go from here? Obviously will have to replace/rewire the connectors, but can anyone hint as to whether it's the motor or controller that's 'gone'.
Any help would be gratefully received.
Cheers
Guy
