The zero hub motor looks like the one sold in the sxt models, can anyone confirm this?

.....no does it ride as is? If lights are on and dash is on it's likely the scooter is on and us rideable lol
Doesn't ride, dash is on - shows batttery + mph when I use it as a kickscooter but throttle doesn't activate motor... :?
Could be one of two things. The scooter is on and there connection issue between the motor and control board. Or the brake sensor issue...
So it doesn't show any codes on the dash instead of mph?
No code, dash behaves like everything is normal, brake activates the rear tail light too. I think you're right about the motor and control board - there's something rattling inside the scooter, the motor also turned on briefly a few times but I can't get it to consistently turn/stay on.

Isn't it unusual for gps to be on and trackable through the app, while the scooter runs freely? I have a feeling it was scanned/deactivated to get into free mode, but when it developed the motor/control issue the gps was plugged back in and the scooter was dumped, that's just a hunch tho.

Yes. If the scooter is in ON mode it shouldnt be giving any kind of signal anywhere. Basically Bird does not know where or what's going on with the scooter til it locks again. what I think is going on is there is a Sim inside that came from different bird so it always shows the location.

Not the same motor. ..even though similar in appearance they differ at least in power output as far as I know....the one in the link is a 500 W one....zero comes with 250W or 350w in extremely rare cases.

Interesting, Do you think it'll lock if I take out the sim now?

It shouldn't since one: it's already on; and two: the Sim is probably from different bird so it shows as that on map. But I bet the qr code on the actual scooter you got isn't the same as the one the Sim card shows.

The zero’s glitch en masses daily, bums sell them for 5 bucks sayin ride till dead then leave on the street.
Haven’t tried taking out the sim while the scoot being on and not riding tho, please report back when you try. And do try it, what else you have use for it? And deactivate the sim away from house.

Tried both methods today...it can only go 2.5mph. Think I got a malfunctioning Bird.

Anyone able to find any Bird Xiaomi M365s in the wild lately or have they been phased out?

99% of the Birds in my city are Sherpas now, they look identical to the Zeros but have "Sherpa" instead of "Bird" wording on the pole. Wonder why Bird re-branded them, any ideas?
