I've worked at the University of California for over 20 years . Lime and Bird flooded the university with scooters last year and the parking police began picking them up on campus and storing them in a locked area. Bird payed a fine and storage fee and got their scooters back , Lime said F it , keep em. My receipt is a small piece of paper from a 90s cash register that is in the recycle bin now . I got them for $30 each and the university has over 90 left . The next sale is Oct 1 . So there you have it . I still need ideas to get them running . I heard from parking that Lime took the scooters off their inventory and GPS .
