This is just one law firm and their cases in the Los Angeles area.

Some of these injuries are idiot riders and some are faulty scooters.

Around here, its about 50%. Either result of vandals, or just idiot pieceworker mechanics not doing a proper job.
Combine that with about 80% of users being clueless or careless, its prime recipe for injuries.
